Mizzou J-Schoolers Win Fox News College Reporting Contest

Two Missouri School of Journalism students have won the FOX News Channel College Challenge with their report “Divide on Proposition B”. Besides appearing on FOX News Channel with Professor Greeley Kyle, juniors Emily Spain (@Emily_Spain) and Blake Hanson (@BlakeMHanson) won a $10,000 prize they split, as well as an interview for an entry level job or internship at FOX. FOX also gave the Missouri School of Journalism a $10,000 scholarship to award. Continue reading

This is starting to feel like the J-School Buzz senior issue. Last time we asked Missouri School of Journalism seniors to fill out this spreadsheet with their post-graduation plans, and like we said on the weekly roundup, more than 100 of you have entered in your post-grad plans so far. Missouri School of Journalism Students Get Tapped

We already know the Missouri School of Journalism has some great students, as evidenced by the number of J-Schoolers in the Mizzou 39 this year.

As if that weren’t enough though, quite a few Mizzou journalism students were tapped by the University of Missouri’s “secret” organizations.
