Meet Your New J-School Buzz Editors
We are thrilled to announce the J-School Buzz Editorial Board for the fall 2012 semester. We have many returning faces as well as a couple new ones. We received quite a few applications for positions on the J-School Buzz Editorial Board, and we think this particular group will take JSB to new heights. Without further ado, let’s meet your new JSB Editors:
Ali Colwell, Editor-in-Chief. This will be Colwell’s second semester as EiC, and she is very excited to continue with JSB and take it further than ever before. She is a Journalism (Strategic Communication) major with minors in Art History and Archaeology, Film Studies and Business from Lexington, Kentucky. She has an affinity for reading the news, organizing things, Kentucky basketball, social media and adorable animal videos. Follow her on Twitter: @akcolwell.
Beth Anne Carroll, Social Media Editor. Carroll is a sophomore Broadcast Journalism major with a minor in Spanish from Dallas, Texas. She is also a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Carroll is obsessed with sports, mainly football, and hopes to someday anchor for SportsCenter. She is also a music nerd, loves all things Mizzou and spends more time than she should on the internet. Follow her on Twitter: @bethannecarroll.
Cody Heyveld, Multimedia Editor. Heyveld is a junior majoring in Journalism, with an emphasis in Radio/TV Production. He is also intertwining his major with a minor in Communication. Heyveld is proudly gay, outgoing and crazy about pop culture—which he strives to one day be a part of. Follow him on Twitter: @codyleeheyveld.
Charles O’Neill, Graphics Editor. O’Neill is a Journalism major with an emphasis in Strategic Communication. His work has been featured on websites such as Deadspin and SI.com’s Hot Mustard section. His interests include hip-hop, sports and film. Follow him on Twitter: @chuckknoblog.
Jackie Trahan, Copy Editor. Trahan is a Journalism and Computer Science major with minors in Math, Information Technology, and Multicultural Studies. She hails from Stafford, Virginia, near Washington, D.C., and was raised in San Clemente, California. She likes french fries, “Easy A,” and logic problems. Follow her around campus because she likes creepers, but not Twitter!
We are all excited to get started and continue to make JSB even better. If you are interested in contributing to the site or have a tip for us, shoot us an email at tips@jschoolbuzz.com. And be sure to keep an eye out for some great new content!
