Melanie Gibson is a Convergence junior from Bend, Ore. This summer, she will be an intern with NPR’s Digital Media Product Development department in Washington, D.C.

Back at Mizzou, Melanie is the president of ONA Mizzou. In her life outside of the Missouri School of Journalism, she is also involved in Kappa Alpha Theta and Chi Alpha campus ministry.

She is excited to be JSB’s new Social Media Editor because she is addicted to Twitter and Facebook and is always game for trying out new social media outlets. She believes in audience engagement and understands how crucial it is for a media outlet to interact with its audience.
